About Da Nang Oi

Da Nang Oi publishes English guides to living in and visiting Da Nang, checked against Vietnamese official sources. It is edited by Vincent.

The name is Vietnamese: "Đà Nẵng ơi" is how you call out to someone you know, roughly "hey, Da Nang".

How a guide is checked

• Every fee, deadline, form and rule in a guide is traced to a source, with the exact wording from that source kept on file. A statement that no source supports is cut rather than softened.
• Legal facts rest on the legal text itself (the Official Gazette and government legal portals) or on a Vietnamese government portal. Agency and forum pages are cited only to show what they advertise, never as the basis for a rule.
• Laws, decrees and circulars are tracked in one register. When an instrument is replaced or amended, every guide that cites it is flagged for re-checking.
• Each guide shows the date it was last verified and when it is due for review. What could not be confirmed is listed openly under "Not confirmed" on the guide itself.
• Screenshots of official pages are dated and linked to the page they were taken from.
