How guides are checked
How Da Nang Oi sources, checks, dates and corrects its guides, and where AI is used in that process.
1. Sources
Every source is filed under one of four tiers. The tier decides what the source is allowed to support.

Every guide must cite at least one Document or Gov source. The primary sources are listed under “Sources” at the top of each guide.
2. One fact, one quote
Each fee, date, deadline and condition (“must”, “only”, “not refunded”…) in a guide is a claim. Each claim is stored with the exact wording of its source, usually in Vietnamese, in the site’s research files. If no source says it in so many words, the sentence is cut rather than softened.
3. Dates on every guide
- Verified — the date the guide was last checked against its sources.
- Review — the month it is due to be checked again. Each guide has its own interval.
- Not confirmed — questions no qualifying source answers are listed openly on the guide, not guessed.
4. Law register
Laws, decrees and circulars cited anywhere on the site are tracked in one register, with what replaced or amended them. When an instrument is replaced, or amended after a guide was last verified, the site build fails for every guide that cites it until that guide is checked again. Effective dates that cannot be confirmed are left blank rather than guessed.
5. How AI is used
Research, first drafts and the sentence-by-sentence review are done by AI models (Claude, by Anthropic), working from Vietnamese sources. The process, as it runs today:
- An AI research agent (Claude) reads the Vietnamese sources and records each fact as a claim, with the exact source wording, where in the source it appears, and the date it was fetched.
- A second agent checks that list against the guide’s scope and adds what is missing — often an amending decree or the base article of a rule.
- An AI writer drafts the guide from those claims only. Each number and condition in the draft is linked to the claim it rests on.
- An automated gate scans every visible word — body, tables, FAQ, captions, diagram text. It stops the guide if a number is not in the quoted source, a legal claim rests only on press or other pages, or a cited law is out of date.
- A reviewing model (Claude Opus) reads the guide sentence by sentence against the quotes, following a written checklist, and cuts or rewrites what the source does not say.
- The editor reviews each batch of guides. Mistakes found after publication are fixed and logged (section 8).
The editor, Vincent, reads Vietnamese. The gate catches numbers without a source; it cannot catch a sentence that stretches its quote — dropping an exception, widening “may” to “will”. That is what the checklist review is for, and each batch’s errors are logged so the gate and the instructions can be tightened.
6. Images
- Screenshots of official pages are dated and linked to the page they were taken from.
- Stock photos are used only under a recorded licence. Diagram text is checked against the quoted claims like the body text.
- Photos and clips from Google Maps are credited to the person who posted them (“Photo: name via Google Maps”). If the person who posted it or the venue asks, it is taken down.
7. Money
- Affiliate links are marked as such and may earn Da Nang Oi a commission.
- In lists of places, venues with a paid or hosted relationship come after those without one.
- Where a page ranks places, the criteria are stated on that page, and payment is not one of them.
- A venue can ask for a factual fix (price, address, hours) with a source. It cannot change an opinion, a ranking or the source behind a fact.

8. Corrections
When a fact turns out wrong or out of date, the guide is fixed and the fix is dated on thecorrections page. Guides themselves do not keep old versions.
