Da Nang Airport to City Centre: Taxi, Grab and Bus (2026)
Grab's own page puts Da Nang airport about 3–5 km from the city centre, roughly 10–15 minutes by car. Taxis pick up outside arrivals at both terminals. Ride-hailing cars pick up at a different point at each terminal. DanaBus route 06 runs 05:30–19:00 daily for 15,000–22,000 VND.
Da Nang International Airport (DAD) sits close to downtown. Grab’s own airport page gives an average distance of 3–5 km and an average travel time of 10–15 minutes to Da Nang city centre. Three ways cover that distance: a taxi, a ride-hailing app such as Grab or Xanh SM, or DanaBus route 06 — each with its own pickup point at the terminal.
The airport has two terminals: T1 (domestic) and T2 (international). The taxi pickup point is the same for both; ride-hailing and bus pickup points differ by terminal.
Taxi
Taxis wait at the taxi stops just outside the arrivals hall. Leave the arrivals restricted area, go straight or follow the signs at pillar 3 in the arrivals public area. The pickup point is at the second traffic lane, where dispatch staff can help you contact and book a taxi. It’s the same pickup point at both terminals.

For some routes, the airport posts a price list at pillar 2 in the arrivals public area or on the terminal’s own website. For a route not on that list, check the fare with pickup staff before you get in.
Green SM/Xanh SM also runs a dedicated Xanh Airport electric-taxi pickup, licensed at Column 9, outer lane. That service officially launched on 15 August 2023; fares from the airport to central Da Nang follow its published price list, based on the actual distance travelled. As of 24 February 2025, Green SM’s own published Da Nang fare is a distance-tiered scale:
- First 2 km: 30,500 VND opening fare
- Each further km up to km 12: 17,000 VND/km
- Each further km up to km 25: 15,500 VND/km
- From km 26 on: 13,000 VND/km
Ride-hailing apps
Grab, Gojek and SM Green Taxi’s apps offer another way in. Download one and follow its instructions to book a car or motorbike ride. When booking, specify whether you’re at Terminal T1 (domestic) or Terminal T2 (international).
At Terminal T1, ride-hailing cars pick up right in front of the arrivals hall. At Terminal T2, leave arrivals, go straight or find pillar 3, then follow the signs across the road. That leads to the designated waiting area, in front of the glass building in the parking area.
From 24 January 2025, Grab set new GrabCar pickup areas at both terminals. Domestic Terminal pickup is at positions 11 and 12, beneath the overpass on the south side. International Terminal pickup is at positions 6 and 7, beneath the overpass in front of the terminal.
Grab asks riders to pay the driver a 9,000 VND airport entry/exit fee, set by the airport, at both pickup points. Grab also applies a 15,000 VND platform fee to GrabCar rides at the airport.
Grab’s own global page gives an average travel time of 10–15 minutes and an average distance of 3–5 km between the airport and Da Nang city centre. Its average price for that ride is 70,000–120,000 VND.
Bus — route 06
DanaBus route 06 opened under a Da Nang Department of Construction decision signed 15 January 2026, entering service on 25 January 2026 with electric buses. It enters the airport itself, through the Nguyễn Văn Linh toll-station gate and an internal ground-floor road past both the international and domestic terminals, in both directions.
At Terminal T1, it stops at pillar 2, outside the arrivals hall of the Domestic Terminal. At Terminal T2, it stops at pillars 7 and 8, outside the arrivals hall of the International Terminal.
The route runs from the airport via Nguyễn Văn Linh, Cầu Rồng (Dragon Bridge), Võ Văn Kiệt, Võ Nguyên Giáp and Trường Sa. From there it continues through the FPT urban area to the Việt-Hàn University of Information and Communication Technology. It operates 05:30–19:00 daily, with an estimated wait of 5–30 minutes between buses.
A single trip costs 15,000 VND for less than half the route, or 22,000 VND for the full route. Students and pupils pay a flat 8,000 VND; children under 6 and other policy-priority groups ride free. Walking
If you’d rather walk, the airport names two main roads — Duy Tân or Nguyễn Văn Linh. It says walking takes about half an hour to reach the Han River and over an hour to reach the beach.

Not confirmed: Sources disagree on whether DanaBus routes 12 and 03 serve the airport. The airport's own page lists route 12 among the buses stopping there. It says route 03 passes near the airport without stopping. The city bus operator's own route lists, used in the Da Nang bus guide, differ on both. Current per-km taxi fares for Mai Linh and VinaSun in Da Nang were not found on either company's own site. No official source found gives a distance or time to the city centre; the figure above is Grab's own estimate.
