Da Nang Public Bus: Routes, Fares and Hours (2026)

Da Nang's public bus network (DanaBus) runs five subsidized city routes at a flat 8,000 VND per trip, plus route 06 to the airport, route 03 to Bà Nà Hills, route 02 to Hội An and route 21 to Tam Kỳ, each with its own fare. Board through the front door; check routes at ecobus.danang.gov.vn.

Fly into Da Nang International Airport and a public bus now leaves from the terminal. Route 06 runs from the airport to Đại học Việt-Hàn (Việt-Hàn University), opened under a Department of Construction decision signed 15 January 2026, with service starting 25 January 2026 using electric buses. It enters the airport itself, through the Nguyễn Văn Linh toll-station gate and an internal ground-floor road past both the international and domestic terminals, in both directions. A single trip costs 15,000 VND for up to half the route or 22,000 VND beyond that; students and pupils pay a flat 8,000 VND.

That’s one of several routes a visitor in Da Nang is likely to use. This guide quotes the current route list, hours, frequency and fares straight from the city’s own bus authority — DATRAMAC, the Da Nang Traffic-signal and Public Transport Operations Centre, set up under Decision No. 11192/QĐ-UBND of 28 December 2011 — and from the Đà Nẵng city government’s own announcements.

Routes a visitor is most likely to use

Route 06 — Airport to Đại học Việt-Hàn

The route is 21.3 km long and runs 48 trips a day, using five brand-new Kim Long electric buses (40 seats: 21 standing, 19 seated). It opens for the day at 05:45 at the airport station and 05:30 at Việt-Hàn University, closing at 19:25 and 19:00 respectively, with buses every 30–60 minutes. A monthly pass costs 380,000 VND (single-route) or 1,000,000 VND (connecting routes) for a regular passenger; priority riders — students, people 60 and over, lower-rated war invalids and disabled riders — pay 300,000 VND or 400,000 VND. Children under 6, severely disabled riders, and war invalids rated 81% or more disabled ride free.

Route 03 — Airport to Bà Nà Hills

After an August 2026 fleet upgrade, route 03 keeps its Sân bay Đà Nẵng–Khu du lịch Bà Nà Hills endpoints, running 32 trips a day on 6 Kim Long electric buses (4 in service, 2 spare). A single trip costs 15,000 VND for under half the route or 30,000 VND from half to the full route, and a flat 8,000 VND for students. A regular monthly pass costs 750,000 VND for one route or 1,000,000 VND for a connecting pass valid on all FUTA Bus Lines routes, subsidized and non-subsidized; priority riders — described as mildly disabled people, the elderly and students — pay 300,000 VND or 400,000 VND.

Route 02 — Central Bus Station to Hội An

The route launched on 18 July 2025, running from the Central Bus Station to Cửa Đại in Hội An Đông ward. At launch, its monthly pass cost 700,000 VND for a regular rider or 490,000 VND for a civil-servant (công chức) rider; no later fare notice for this route was found. After the city’s August 2026 electric-bus conversion, the same route is described as Central Bus Station – city administrative centre – Hai Bà Trưng parking area (Hội An), running every 15–30 minutes.

Route 21 — Central Bus Station to Tam Kỳ

This route also launched on 18 July 2025, running to Cầu Tam Kỳ in Hương Trà ward. From late November 2025 its per-trip fare switched from a flat rate to a distance-based scale; students and pupils still pay a flat 8,000 VND for the whole journey regardless of distance. Monthly passes, unchanged as of 23 December 2025, cost 300,000 VND (single-route) or 400,000 VND (connecting) for a priority rider, and 850,000 VND or 1,000,000 VND for a regular rider. After the August 2026 upgrade, frequency on this route is 5–30 minutes per trip.

To check any route yourself, the city runs an online bus finder at ecobus.danang.gov.vn, branded ViBus, where you search by your start and end point and it shows which bus is arriving at a stop soon.

The everyday city routes and their flat fare

Beyond the visitor routes above, DanaBus also runs five subsidized routes: 05 (Khu chung cư Hòa Hiệp Nam – Công viên Biển Đông), 07 (Xuân Diệu – Hòa Phước), 08 (Vũng Thùng – Bến xe buýt Phạm Hùng), 11 (Xuân Diệu – Bệnh viện Phụ sản Nhi) and 12 (Xuân Diệu – Bến xe buýt Phạm Hùng). Route 12 runs between Xuân Diệu and Phạm Hùng — it does not go to the airport or the beach.

Under the fare table effective from 1 January 2024, set by a People’s Committee decision dated 20 November 2021, the single-trip fare on these five routes is a flat 8,000 VND for every passenger group — regular, 50%-priority and fully exempt riders alike. A single-route monthly pass costs 160,000 VND for a regular passenger, 80,000 VND for a 50%-priority passenger, and is free (with a free pass card issued) for a fully exempt passenger. A connecting, multi-route monthly pass costs 170,000 VND, 85,000 VND, or free on the same basis. For monthly passes, some priority categories get a 50% fare reduction and others a completely free pass.

Other non-subsidized routes

Two more non-subsidized routes now run different endpoints, per DATRAMAC’s current official route overview. Route 09 — formerly Bệnh viện Ung Bướu – Phạm Hùng — now runs Cảng sông Hàn – Hòa Khương. Route 13 — formerly Bệnh viện Ung Bướu – Đại học Việt Hàn — now runs Kim Liên – Đại học Việt Hàn. Route 09 now runs 30 trips a day, with 6 Kim Long electric buses (5 in service, 1 spare); no fare has been published for it. Route 13 runs every 15–60 minutes per trip. Route 14 was also switched to electric buses, alongside routes 03 and 09, effective 24 August 2026.

Recent changes

A city decision dated 19 March 2026 approved the city’s public bus route network, aiming to gradually complete the public-transport system and meet residents’ travel needs. Before that, the Hội An and Tam Kỳ routes launched on 18 July 2025. Since then, routes 03, 09 and 14 converting to electric buses on 24 August 2026 under dispatch No. 15563/SXD-VTATGT, with routes 02, 13 and 21 following on 28 August 2026 under dispatch No. 16041/SXD-VTATGT.

How to pay and ride

Board through the front door and get off through the back. Have small, exact cash ready, or a monthly pass card with the current month’s sticker attached. For fare, schedule or other questions, DanaBus’s hotline is 0236.3711468, and the operator also publishes a “Danabus” app on Google Play and the App Store. To buy a monthly pass through the QR-code system, the first step is downloading that Danabus app.

Not confirmed: Da Nang's official sources don't give the verbatim route-count breakdown behind the March 2026 decision approving the bus network, the full list of the "20 priority categories" for discounted or free monthly passes, or confirmation that DanaBus's QR-code system accepts e-wallet or card payment alongside cash. Confirmed first- and last-bus times exist for route 06; other routes' opening and closing hours are not confirmed. Route 09's fare isn't published. No official source names a dedicated beach route or a route to the train station, so none is given here.
