Ba Na Hills Ticket Price and How to Get There from Da Nang (2026)
Sun World's 2026 basic ticket to Ba Na Hills costs 650,000 VND for Da Nang residents and 1,000,000 VND for everyone else, per Sun World's 2026 price list. A Sun World page gives ticket-office hours of about 8:00–22:00. Reach the resort on the free Wow Bus, registered a day ahead, or by car, about 30 minutes from downtown.

Ticket prices by resident type and age
The basic ticket is the round-trip cable car plus park entry, priced by residency and by age or height band.

Children taller than 1.4m pay the adult price, and children shorter than 1m enter free. The senior price applies only to visitors over 70.

What the basic ticket includes
Every basic ticket comes with a coupon you redeem at the entrance, for one of:
- 2 glasses (250ml each) of Sun Kraftbeer at Ba Na 1901 Restaurant
- One light snack (French fries) at Ba Na Brew House
- One French pastry of your choice at Eric Kayser bakery, limited to 1,000 pieces a day
Ticket validity: 3 consecutive days
From 1 January 2026, a single cable car ticket is valid for 3 consecutive days. You need to upgrade a 1-day ticket to a 3-day ticket, and register Face ID, in person at the Retail Ticket Office before your first check-in. One-time benefits such as the buffet still apply only once during the ticket’s validity period.
Documents you need at the gate
Staff verify a valid, original ID at the gate before you board the cable car. To buy a Da Nang resident (local) ticket:
- Adults: an ID card, passport, or household registration book, plus a photo ID such as a driver’s licence
- Children: a birth certificate plus a parent’s ID card if travelling together, or a birth certificate with a student card (photo), household registration book, or passport
You can’t use someone else’s Da Nang ID to buy a resident-priced ticket.
Hours
A Sun World page dated February 2024 says the ticket office opens about 8:00 and closes about 22:00, and the cable car runs about 8:00 to 19:00. Actual hours can shift 15 to 30 minutes earlier or later depending on weather or visitor numbers. Checked 27 September 2026, the park’s live-status widget showed it open, closing at 22:00.
Getting there: Wow Bus and by car
Sun World runs a free shuttle called Wow Bus between Da Nang and Ba Na Hills, connecting the city centre with the resort on Chúa mountain, since 8 August 2026. It’s a trial phase running through 31 December 2026. The round trip costs nothing.
Wow Bus picks up at these Da Nang stops:
- Novotel Danang Premier Han River hotel
- Biển Đông Park
- The stop opposite Mỹ Khê Beach, next to DLG Hotel
- Vegas Club
- 99 Võ Nguyên Giáp
Outbound departures from Novotel are at 8:30 and 9:30. Return departures from Ba Na Hills are at 15:00, two trips. Register 1 day ahead by QR code — seats are limited, and the bus only boards at its listed stops.
By car, it’s about 30 minutes from downtown Da Nang to Ba Na Hills.
Visitor rules
Since 1 October 2018, Sun World Ba Na Hills has banned outside food and drinks, to help preserve the resort’s forest environment.

Sun World’s English pages give the address as An Sơn, Hòa Ninh ward, Hòa Vang, Da Nang city, Vietnam. Vietnamese pages instead say Xã Bà Nà, Đà Nẵng city, Vietnam — that commune was formed by merging the former Hòa Ninh and Hòa Nhơn communes.

Not confirmed: Whether either 2026 discount promotion for the cable car ticket is still running is unclear. Both had already ended by the 27 Sep 2026 research date, and no official page shows a current discount. Sun World does not publish any rule on drones, flycams or dress code beyond the outside food and drink ban. The cable car's own operating hours are confirmed only by a source dated 18 February 2024; no newer general, non-event official page states them. Which ID document qualifies someone as a "local" resident for the discounted ticket is not defined by Sun World. Whether former Quảng Nam residents also qualify after the 2025 merger into Đà Nẵng is not stated either. The 2026 price list states neither a start date nor an end date.
