Da Nang Emergency Numbers: Police, Ambulance and Tourist Hotline (2026)

In Da Nang, 113 is the police number, 114 is fire and rescue and 115 is medical emergency. 112, the search-and-rescue number, is interconnected with those three lines, runs 24 hours a day and is free from a fixed-line or mobile phone. The tourist hotline is 02363.550.111.

Vietnam’s telecommunications numbering rules assign 112 as the call service number for search and rescue. Under the country’s civil-defence rules, the 112 line receives reports of “incidents, natural disasters, catastrophes, emerging risks, and requests for assistance from organisations or individuals”. The 112 system is interconnected with the police, fire and rescue, and ambulance lines, operates 24 hours every day, and is free to call from a fixed-line or mobile phone.

The numbers to dial

Vietnam’s numbering plan sets out five separate three-digit service numbers:

• 113 — the call service number for the police.
• 114 — the call service number for fire and rescue.
• 115 — the call service number for medical emergency.
• 112 — the call service number for search and rescue, interconnected with the three lines above.
• 111 — the call service number for the National Child Protection Telephone Switchboard.

Is a single emergency number replacing these?

A Prime Minister decision reported in the press approved a project to integrate 113, 114 and 115 into a single number, 113, used nationwide, with the unified system being deployed at police information-command centres in 34 provinces and cities. Da Nang City Police already began folding its 114 fire-report line into the 113 line at its own command information centre, the first unit in the country’s police force to pilot this. For now, 113, 114 and 115 remain the separate numbers assigned to police, fire and rescue, and medical emergency.

Da Nang’s tourist support hotline

Da Nang’s Tourist Support Center can be reached at 02363.550.111, also given as 02363.1022, on Bạch Đằng street in Hải Châu district. It receives and works with the city’s relevant units to handle every complaint, comment and feedback from visitors, and gives visitors timely support in emergencies such as accidents, lost property or robbery.

The city has also announced a line for Da Nang’s Rapid Response Tourism Team, 0919.247.009, to receive and promptly handle any complaints from visitors.

Da Nang’s citizen hotline

For non-emergency city issues, Da Nang runs a citizen hotline at (0236) 1022 or the short code *1022, staffed 7:30am–9:00pm every day, including Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, and also reachable at (0236) 3996 777. It receives, classifies and forwards residents’ comments and complaints to the responsible authorities. Da Nang put this hotline into operation on 1 September 2015, run by the Da Nang Public Service Information Centre.

Is it free to call?

Calling 112 from a fixed-line or mobile phone is free of charge. Emergency telecommunications service is separately on the government’s list of mandatory public-utility telecom services, with support for its use covering every individual and organisation nationwide, and a report on the Ministry of Science and Technology’s price decisions says the price for these services is paid from the state telecom fund and the user does not pay it.

The 112 line also receives reports of natural disasters and catastrophes. Not confirmed: The exact decision number(s) that reportedly set a per-minute ceiling price for the emergency numbers, with the state rather than the caller paying it, were not confirmed against a primary government source, so no per-minute figure is used here. No official source found states a Da Nang-specific date for the nationwide merger of the police, fire and ambulance numbers into one line — only nationwide press coverage exists, and Da Nang's own earlier, separate consolidation of its fire-report line into the police line predates it. Whether Da Nang's tourist hotlines answer calls in English is not stated by any official source found.
