Da Nang Immigration Office: Address, Hours, Which to Use

Guides commonly give the Da Nang immigration office's hours as roughly 8:00–11:30 and 1:30–4:30 — a pattern that traces to a Da Nang tourism-portal page published 16 November 2015. Google's own listing, phone-verified around mid-2026, shows different hours: Monday to Saturday, 7:30–11:30 AM and 1:30–5:30 PM, closed Sunday, at 78 Lê Lợi, Hải Châu.

One office for the merged city

The immigration office covering the whole of Da Nang today is the Immigration Management Division, Da Nang City Police (Phòng Quản lý Xuất nhập cảnh). Show the Vietnamese name to a driver or a Grab/Xanh SM app if the English name doesn’t register.

That single office exists because Resolution 202/2025/QH15 merged the entire area and population of Da Nang city and Quang Nam province into one city, keeping the name Da Nang, in effect nationwide from 12 June 2025. News coverage of the police reorganisation that followed describes the merged Da Nang city force, absorbing what had been Quang Nam’s provincial police, as beginning operation around 1 July 2025. That merger is why two addresses that used to belong to a separate provincial authority — in Hội An and Tam Kỳ — now sit under the same city police force, with two very different outcomes covered further down.

The address: 78 Lê Lợi, not “phường Thạch Thang”

The office is at 78 Lê Lợi, Hải Châu, Đà Nẵng 550000. The Google Plus Code 36G9+XQ is worth keeping handy if the street name doesn’t resolve well in a map app.

Some English-language guides still write the address with a ward that has since disappeared: “phường Thạch Thang, quận Hải Châu.” Resolution 1659/NQ-UBTVQH15, passed by the National Assembly Standing Committee on 16 June 2025, merged the wards of Thanh Bình, Thuận Phước, Thạch Thang, Phước Ninh and the old Hải Châu into a single new ward, also called Hải Châu. Thạch Thang stopped being a separate address component at that point — write the address without it.

Opening hours, and the 2015 page everyone still copies

No government source found for this article publishes exact opening hours for this office. Google’s business listing does: it shows Monday to Saturday, 7:30–11:30 AM and 1:30–5:30 PM, closed Sunday, and its hours note says they were confirmed by a phone call roughly 11 weeks before 26 September 2026, placing the check around mid-2026 — after both the city merger and the office’s own reorganisation.

That starts earlier and ends later than the pattern many guides repeat: roughly 8:00–11:30 in the morning and 1:30–4:30 in the afternoon. That pattern traces to a Da Nang tourism-portal page published 16 November 2015, which gives those same hours with Saturday working mornings only, and which still shows a phone number using the area code “0511” — a sign of how old the copied information is.

The office’s own Google listing still shows its website as the old danang.xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn address. That subdomain no longer hosts anything of the office’s own: it now redirects permanently to tbltkbtt.bocongan.gov.vn, a national portal for declaring temporary residence and reporting stays, not a page about this office.

Hội An and Tam Kỳ: what’s actually still there

Before the 2025 merger, the former Quang Nam provincial police ran two more locations that some guides still list alongside Da Nang. Their current status is worth checking before planning a trip to either one.

Hội An still has a listing at 483 Hai Bà Trưng, Hội An Tây, but Google now names it Tổ quản lý xuất nhập cảnh – Bắc Quảng Nam — an immigration unit for the northern Quảng Nam area, not a provincial office in its own right. No opening hours and no phone number are published for it anywhere found for this article.

Tam Kỳ is different: Google marks the former office at 56 Huỳnh Thúc Kháng as permanently closed. That lines up with the reorganisation described above — its parent agency, the old Quang Nam provincial police, doesn’t exist as a separate force anymore. Don’t plan a trip there.

Your sponsor files, and not necessarily in person

The office handles temporary residence extension, procedure 1.001146 on the Ministry of Public Security’s national portal. Under Law 47/2014/QH13, Article 35(1), the request is made by the organisation or individual that invited or sponsored you, not by you alone. Your sponsor can file in person, online, or by post, for a 10 USD fee; the national procedure page states a processing time of no more than 5 working days from the date the complete application is received. If the file goes in online, the result can come back by post, with the courier fee paid by the applicant.

The phone numbers: what’s listed, and what’s confirmed

A Ministry of Public Security contact page lists 0694.260193 for this office, but the page carries a single date, 11 July 2023 — before the 2025 provincial merger and the police reorganisation that followed. Google’s own listing for the office shows no phone number at all, so there’s no independent confirmation that 0694.260193 still rings through.

The Immigration Department’s e-visa portal listed a national hotline, 02438257941, on 26 September 2026. That is a national line, not this office’s. Neither number is confirmed as a way to reach the Da Nang office directly, so the address and hours above are the firmer ground.
